September 6 -- John 6: 58-64 "'This is the bread that came down from heaven, not like the bread the fathers ate, and died. Whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.' Jesus said these things in the synagogue, as he taught at Capernaum. When many of his disciples heard it, they said, 'This is a hard saying; who can listen to it?' But Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples were grumbling about this, said to them, 'Do you take offense at this? Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. But there are some of you who do not believe.' (For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not belive, and who it was who would betray him.)"
Prayer focus for today: When we were young, we never liked being around the kid who was "know-it-all". They were annoying and overbearing. However, Jesus is one know-it-all who can wear that title proudly! While sometimes we do get annoyed at all He knows, deep down, we know it is the truth! If we say we believe in Jesus, but still believe there are things in our lives we are hiding from Him, we are just listening to the lies of Satan who helps us to fool ourselves.
Pray today for Jesus to be KING in your life. He already knows ALL and knows every aspect of YOU better than you know yourself. Pray for healing for the areas of your life you keep bottled up - thinking NO ONE knows. He knows, He forgives, He cares, and He wants you to trust Him to heal. And lastly, pray today that you will be willing to allow Jesus to be the voice of truth THROUGH you. Until you listen to King Knows It All ... you haven't found true freedom. Let others hear about Him and see Him through you.
