September 15 -- John 7:50 - 8:2
"Nicodemus, who had gone to him before, and who was one of them, said to them, 'Does our law judge a man without first giving him a hearing and learning what he does?' They replied, 'Are you from Galilee too? Search and see that no prophet arises from Galilee.' They went each to his own house, but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. Early in the morning he came again to the temple. All the people came to him, and he sat down and taught them."
Prayer focus for today: Despite the repeated criticism, judgment, and conflict, Jesus kept on doing what He was sent to Earth to do -- show and tell God's truth. Pray today that we can each be more like Jesus and press on in the midst of the struggles each day. Pray for wisdom to know how to respond to each situation; trusting God to give you the words to say in response to conflict. Pray for confidence to humbly and lovingly guide (correct) those who speak falsely to you or about you. Pray for discernment to know God's will - whether you are to respond or be silent and let Him fight your battles. When you trust in the Lord to guide you, directing every step, you will NEVER go wrong!
